About us

Foundation of IRADAH

IRADAH was founded in 2001 by a group of dedicated individuals led by Professor Izhar Hussain Awan (Late), with a mission to support the rehabilitation of persons with disabilities. The organisation was formally registered under the Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and Control) Act, 1961.

With the support of a few dedicated volunteers, IRADAH opened its first Rehabilitation Centre. The tireless commitment of these volunteers—guided by their leader, himself a wheelchair user—moved local philanthropists to step forward with vital resources. Their generosity transformed a small initiative into a beacon of hope, enabling IRADAH to take its first steps toward becoming a trusted platform for the rehabilitation and empowerment of persons with disabilities.
