Ghanimah graduated in 2019 from University of Colorado Boulder with a Bachelor of Arts in physics. She is currently pursuing a masters degree in mechanical engineering at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). Ghanimah spends most of the year immersed in research in various fields including soft condensed matter, laser analysis and spectroscopy. She was able to publish her first paper in Nature Communication during junior year of her bachelor degree, titled: Self-assembled Nematic Colloidal Motors Powered by Light. She also participated in a number of research competitions such as Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) and the National Olympiad of Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa). She aspires to get a Ph.D and to lead in improving scientific education in Saudi Arabia.
